Igniting interest in organ donation
The passing of another human being gave George Marcello his life back.
And since receiving a donor’s liver 14 years ago, Marcello has been spreading the word about organ and tissue donation.
Currently, he is on a two-continent two-year journey, entitled SOS The Americas, with his message.
“I was literally on my deathbed and the only thing that was going to save my life was a liver transplant. Then the call came in that there was a liver available,” said Marcello, who was in Brandon yesterday with his Torch of Life.
